Chemistry. UGREEN publishes over 80% capacity retained after 3,000 cycles on automotive-grade LiFePO4 cells. For comparison, its own lithium-ion Nexode power bank quotes 70% after 1,000 cycles. That is roughly a threefold endurance difference, and LiFePO4 is also the more thermally stable chemistry — which matters for a device that spends August in a car.
Single-port output. 140W on PD 3.1 means it charges a large laptop at full rate, not just trickle-tops it. That is genuinely uncommon at this size.
The light. A built-in LED with three modes is a small thing that turns out to matter at a campsite or a dark parking lot.

Lithium chemistries accept charge between roughly 0°C and 45°C (32°F to 113°F), and parked-car research puts dashboards at 157°F in the sun after an hour, with cabin air above 130°F on a 90°F day within half an hour. LiFePO4 tolerates heat better than standard lithium-ion — that is part of why UGREEN used it — but “better” is not “indifferent.”
Three habits, all cheap:
- Store it in the footwell or the trunk, not on a seat or the dash. Shaded interior surfaces measured around 39°F cooler than sunlit ones.
- Do not charge it while it is hot. If it has been baking, let it come down before plugging it in. Charging a hot cell is where damage accumulates.
