Pixel 11 vs 11 Pro vs Pro XL vs Pro Fold: Which One to Buy in 2026
Most people should buy the $899 Pixel 11. All four Pixel 11 phones share the Tensor G6, a 5x telephoto, Qi2 wireless charging and IP68, so the extra $200 to $1,000 buys only cameras, display and battery. What the Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold add, with US prices and Google's published specs.

The short version: all four Pixel 11 phones share the Tensor G6 and Titan M3 chips, a 5x telephoto camera, Qi2 magnetic wireless charging at up to 25W and IP68. That is why the $899 Pixel 11 is the right phone for most people. The Pro ($1,099), Pro XL ($1,299) and Pro Fold ($1,899) differ from it in exactly three ways: display, battery and charging, and camera resolution and zoom. If none of those three is worth $200 or more to you, stop at the base model.
Announced on August 12, 2026 and on sale since August 20, every Pixel 11 base price is $100 higher than the equivalent Pixel 10. Here is what each step up actually buys.
What every Pixel 11 shares (so you do not have to compare it)
- Silicon: Google Tensor G6 with the Titan M3 security chip
- Telephoto: a 5x optical telephoto on every model, including the base phone
- Wireless charging: Qi2 with the magnetic Pixelsnap ecosystem, up to 25W (Qi2.2)
- Durability: IP68 on all four
- AI: Gemini Intelligence features run on all four
- Updates: seven years of OS and security updates, the same policy as Pixel 8 and later
If your reasons for buying a Pixel are the AI features, the update policy or the telephoto, the base Pixel 11 satisfies all of them.

Pixel 11: the best balance of the four
The base phone puts the Pro’s 6.3-inch footprint around a 4,985mAh battery that is larger than the Pro’s, at 197 grams, the lightest in the lineup. The 48MP wide, 13MP ultrawide and 10.8MP telephoto do not match the Pro’s resolution, but the 5x telephoto is there.
The 60-120Hz panel gives up the Pro’s 1Hz idle mode, which affects standby efficiency more than how smooth the phone feels. The 10.5MP front camera is the one spec that pushes selfie-heavy and video-call-heavy users toward the Pro.

Pixel 11 Pro: the same size, with the camera and display money goes to
The Pro is the Pixel 11’s body with different components:
- 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide, 48MP periscope telephoto and a 42MP front camera
- Pro Zoom up to 120x against 30x
- 1-120Hz LTPO at up to 3,600 nits
- 12GB or 16GB of RAM
- HiLight, an RGB LED strip in the camera bar for notifications, on Pro models only
The battery is smaller at 4,850mAh and the phone is 204 grams. The extra $200 is a camera purchase. If you shoot a lot, especially at 5x and beyond or with the ultrawide, the resolution gap is real. If your phone is mostly calls, maps and social apps, the difference is hard to feel.

Pixel 11 Pro XL: identical cameras, so you are paying for screen, battery and 45W
The Pro XL’s camera array is identical to the Pro’s. Its case rests on three things:
- A 6.8-inch display
- The lineup’s largest 5,115mAh battery
- The lineup’s only 45W wired charging (everything else is 30W)
It weighs 226 grams, 22 more than the Pro, and costs $200 more at $1,299. Heavy video watchers and gamers who also want faster top-ups are the audience. Everyone else gets the same photos from the Pro in a lighter, cheaper phone.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold: an 8-inch screen with base-model cameras
The Pro Fold opens to an 8.0-inch, 2,152 x 2,076 inner display and closes to a 6.5-inch outer one. It is 10.1 mm folded, 5 mm open, 239 grams, with 16GB of RAM as standard, at $1,899 for 256GB.
The catch is the camera hardware. A 48MP wide, 10.5MP ultrawide and 10.8MP telephoto with two 10MP front cameras is closer to the base Pixel 11 than to the Pro, and zoom stops at 30x. Buy it expecting Pro photos and you will be disappointed.
The Pro Fold makes sense for one reason: reading, PDFs and two-app multitasking on a tablet-class screen that fits in a pocket. If that is not your daily use, the same money buys a Pro XL and a Pixel Watch 5 with change.

Pixel Watch 5: the numbers if you are buying the set
The Pixel Watch 5 launched the same day in 41mm and 45mm sizes. Wi-Fi models are $399 (41mm) and $429 (45mm); LTE models cost more.
It runs an accelerated Snapdragon W5 Gen 2, doubles storage to 64GB, and Google rates the battery at up to 30 hours (41mm) and 40 hours (45mm) with the always-on display, extending to 48 and 72 hours in Battery Saver. The new Health Guardian summaries cover blood pressure patterns, sleep breathing quality and metabolic stress. Google presents them as wellness insights; they are not medical-device readings.

The decision, by use case
- Do not want to think about it, want light and long-lasting: Pixel 11, $899
- Photography, telephoto and ultrawide quality, selfies: Pixel 11 Pro, $1,099
- Big screen, biggest battery, 45W charging: Pixel 11 Pro XL, $1,299
- Reading and two-app multitasking on 8 inches: Pixel 11 Pro Fold, $1,899
- Adding the watch: Pixel Watch 5 41mm Wi-Fi, $399
Google did not gate AI behind the Pro tier this year. The money you spend above $899 goes entirely to cameras, display and battery, so let how often you take photos make the decision.

The Pro has a 1-120Hz LTPO panel at up to 3,600 nits (the Pixel 11 is 60-120Hz and 3,000 nits), a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide and 48MP 5x telephoto (the Pixel 11 has 48MP, 13MP and 10.8MP), a 42MP front camera against 10.5MP, Pro Zoom up to 120x against 30x, and 12GB or 16GB of RAM against 12GB. The Pro costs $200 more and has a slightly smaller 4,850mAh battery.
- Q: Do the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL have the same cameras?
- A: Yes. Both carry the 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide, 48MP 5x periscope telephoto and 42MP front camera. What the Pro XL adds is a 6.8-inch display, a 5,115mAh battery and up to 45W wired charging (the Pro tops out at 30W), at 226 grams versus 204.
- Q: Do all Pixel 11 phones support Qi2 magnetic charging?
- A: Yes. All four support Qi2 with the magnetic Pixelsnap accessory system and wireless charging up to 25W under Qi2.2. Wired charging is up to 30W on the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Fold, and up to 45W on the Pro XL only.
- Q: Is the Pixel 11 Pro Fold a Pro phone that folds?
- A: Not in camera terms. The Pro Fold uses a 48MP wide, 10.5MP ultrawide and 10.8MP 5x telephoto with two 10MP front cameras, which is closer to the base Pixel 11 than to the Pro, and its zoom stops at 30x. What you pay $1,899 for is the 8-inch inner display, 16GB of RAM and a 10.1 mm folded profile at 239 grams.
- Q: Is the Pixel Watch 5 worth pairing with a Pixel 11?
- A: If you want a Google-native watch, it is the obvious companion. The 41mm Wi-Fi model is $399 and the 45mm Wi-Fi model is $429; LTE versions cost more. It runs an accelerated Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 with 64GB of storage, and Google rates battery life at up to 30 hours (41mm) and 40 hours (45mm). New Health Guardian summaries cover blood pressure patterns and sleep breathing quality, but these are wellness metrics, not medical diagnoses.
