Two things fall out of that table. The efficiency reality

Wireless charging is a convenience choice, not a speed choice, and the numbers say so. iFixit measured a full charge of a 12.7Wh phone battery and found a cable consumed 18.25Wh from the wall. Apple’s 15W MagSafe charger consumed 23.33Wh for the same job — 24.4% more energy. A generic non-magnetic 15W pad consumed 33.93Wh, about 104% more than the cable, and took nearly four hours.

That gap between MagSafe and the generic pad is the whole argument for Qi2 in one line: the magnets are doing real work. iFixit put the yearly waste at roughly 5.8kWh for MagSafe versus 14.48kWh for the cheap pad. Heat is the part worth taking seriously without panicking. The practical reading: a magnetic charger overnight in a cool bedroom is fine, a cheap unaligned pad in a sunlit car is the thing to avoid. When to use wireless, and when not to

Wireless wins where the friction of a cable is the actual problem: a bedside pad you drop the phone onto in the dark, a desk stand that keeps the screen visible during calls, a car mount that charges as a side effect of holding the phone. In all three the phone sits for a long time and nobody is watching a percentage climb.

A cable wins whenever you are in a hurry, whenever the phone is already hot, and whenever you are charging from a battery pack where every wasted watt-hour is one you carried yourself. If you are down to 8% and leaving in fifteen minutes, plug in.
