Decide in three questions

OLED burn-in is real physics — organic pixels age with use, and pixels showing a static bright element age faster. It is also much less likely to bite you in 2026 than the internet suggests: pixel shift, logo dimming and panel-refresh routines are standard. The practical rule is simple: if your TV will display the same static overlay for many hours a day (a shop display, a game HUD in a 6-hour session, a 24-hour news ticker), buy LCD and stop thinking about it. Mixed household viewing is not the risk case.
For gamers
Both panel types are viable. OLED gives near-instant pixel response and perfect blacks; Mini LED gives brighter HDR highlights and no anxiety about a persistent HUD. What actually decides your gaming experience is per-model, per-port support for 120 Hz, VRR and ALLM — a TV can have HDMI 2.1 on only two of four ports.
